The city of New Orleans is a celebration, since yesterday the Saints won the Super Bowl over the Indianapolis Colts in Miami.
Although the Colts were the favorites to win this competition, the underdogs prevailed, so congratulations to those who put their money on New Orleans.
31 points meant the Saints won the cup for the first time, after 42 years playing in the NFL (over just 17 points made by the Colts).
This victory means something very special for the city of New Orleans, which just four years ago was devastated by hurricane Katrina, and nobody could imagine this, when everybody was trying to rebuild the city. "Just to think of the road that we've all travelled to get to this point and how much we've invested, how much adversity we faced along the way; but then again, how many people believed in us and gave us the strength to go out and do what we did tonight" said Drew Brees, quarterback of the New Orleans Saints.
This was not only the first Super Bowl won by the Saints, but also the first title for New Orleans in any professional sport. Brees was even named the game's most valuable player, after finishing the night 32-of-39 with 288 yards and two touchdowns.
